#MeToo: Amaal reacts to allegations on Anu

Singer-composer Amaal Mallik is all set to make his TV debut as a judge in an upcoming season of kids’ singing reality show. The jury will also feature Richa Sharma and Shaan. In a recent interview with Bollywood life, the actor spoke about his uncle Anu Malik’s name maligned in the ongoing #MeToo controversy. Anu Malik was accused of sexual misconduct by singer Sona Mohapatra, Alisha Chinai and Shweta Pandit.

Reacting to his family member being involved in the controversy, Amaal Mallik said that it was quite humiliating. The singer also clarified that for him his family is first his four people and beyond that, he doesn’t count anyone as a family.

Talking in support of the #MeToo movement, Amaal said that he is in complete support of it. However, when people talk on social media, the singer agrees that things go a little wrong. He stressed that one should drag the accused to the court and through the judicial system try to achieve the justice. The singer said that actions are a must in such sensitive cases, however, people forget to stand up to their cause after three months.

The singer is also close to Sona Mohapatra who accused his uncle of sexual misconduct. Speaking about her, Amaal said that if Sona has said about Anu Malik then there must be a reason. And if there is a reason then they should move to the court.
